Minimize Tokyo, Japan

This is WorldView-4's debut image. Taken on 26 November 2016, it shows the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Yoyogi National Gymnasium is an arena located in Yoyogi Park, Tokyo, famous for its suspension roof design.

It was designed and built between 1961 and 1964. It housed swimming and diving events for the 1964 Summer Olympics. A separate annex was used for the basketball competition at those same games. It is due to host the handball competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics. The design inspired Frei Otto's arena designs for the Olympic Stadium in Munich.

The arena holds 13,291 people and is now primarily used for ice hockey, futsal and basketball.

WorldView-4 launched earlier this year.
