Minimize Las Vegas Strip, USA

The TerraSAR-X satellite acquired this view of the Las Vegas Strip in 2016. The strip is a stretch of South Las Vegas Boulevard in Clark County, Nevada and is spread across 6.8 kilometres in the south of Las Vegas city between the unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester.

The Las Vegas Strip cityscape is famous for its contemporary architecture, lights and a wide variety of attractions. Some of the largest hotels, casinos, and resort properties in the world are located on the Las Vegas Strip, and in this image TerraSAR-X has been used to create a 3D representation of some of those buildings through the use of a Digital Elevation Model.

Due to the amalgamation of hotels, casinos, restaurants, residential high-rises, entertainment offerings, and skyline; the Las Vegas Strip is considered one of the most popular and iconic tourist destinations in the United States.
