Minimize GeoEye view of Olympic Park venues

GeoEye released this half-meter resolution, satellite image showing the construction progress and finishing touches being made to London's 2012 Olympic Stadium and other Olympic Park venues. The image was collected by the GeoEye-1 satellite on May 25, 2012, or approximately two months before the Opening Ceremony began on July 27, 2012.

Significant landscape changes and construction progress are readily apparent when this image is compared to a series of images taken over the last decade. GeoEye tasked its GeoEye-1 satellite to collect this image while flying 681 km (423) miles above the Earth at an average speed of 17,000 mph (four miles per second.)
